- Resolved Question: "Project Implicit"- Interesting ongoing Harvard study--you can participate or just review it? - Sorry if this posts twice-- It sdidn't show up the first time-- You might be interested to check out a website that does research on various topic relating to Society and Culture-- It's called Project Implicit, and it's an ongoing Harvard study. I found out about it while reading the book, "Blink", by Malcom Gladwell. (Great book, by the way-- I enjoyed it more than his other one, "The Tipping Point") You can register (it's free and quick) and participate, and/or see results of past studies. It has things that are race-related, gender related, and sooo much more-- really interesting stuff!! ---- Why would it get me cancelled?
- Resolved Question: what are your opinions on Project Implicit? - was just curious because i just finished a testing on it!

But Herman also participated in a more acceptable form of political corruption — publicly displayed with the invocation of high principle — in his cooperation with the Israel lobby in opposition to the British boycott of Israeli academics, and in the funding of the Israel Studies Project at the Urbana campus. The Israel Studies Project, jointly funded since 2005 by the chancellor's office and the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago, has had nothing to do with the serious study of Israel, and everything to do with promoting support for its criminal political behavior. Its guests, in residence for two weeks during the fall or spring of each year, have included propagandists Yossi Klein Halevi and Hillel Halkin; and, most recently, writer and talk show host Irit Linur, described below. There have been no invitations to Israeli dissidents, and none to Palestinian citizens of Israel. 101 ratingsTime: 09:08 More in Education - Lethal Weapon: When what you watch on TV begins to matter - Several psychologists, authors, & media personalities discuss how television and images impact the human mind's subconscious perception of race and racism. It is suggested that images on television can have an unconscious influence on your decision making and behavior beyond your conscious awareness. Some psychologists have created "Implicit Association Tests" (IAT) to measure the level of racial influences we may have latent within our subconscious. The results of these studies suggest that it is possible to harbor certain unconscious attitudes toward race/racism that are in direct conflict with our conscious belief system. The video concludes, that the environments in which we live, where television is mostly dominated by White images, may affect how you feel and behave toward yourself and others without your conscious realization.
