- Resolved Question: Overtime Rule in Hockey? - What are your opinions about it? I think it should be a continuous overtime without any shootout. Shootout puts either the blame or the recognition on one player. The goalie who lets the puck in during a shootout is probably feeling pretty terrible. Continuous Overtime would be the best option in my opinion. I mean play until there is a winning goal just like the overtime before the shootout. Golden Goal or first to score a goal. I don't like the idea of a shootout deciding the outcome of a hockey game.
- Resolved Question: Pro Hockey NHL rule question I need help with. How Come in a overtime game (like Buffalo and Bruins game)? - if a team commits a penalty with only seconds left on the OT clock, not regular game clock (like Buffalo did to the Bruins) does it apparently have no consequences? Shouldn't the team that the penalty was committed AGAINST get some sort of benefit (like one extra penalty shot during the shoot out???) I love the Bruins and wish Buffalo well and state a game well played and won, but am left wondering why with a few seconds left in OT, Buffalo committed a 2 minute penalty but did not have to suffer an consequences from it???? Anyone know the rule to help me out on this???? Does Buffalo carry that penalty until the 1st quarter of the game when they meet again????????

Although NHL rules called for an automatic major penalty and an ejection, Kerry Fraser chose not to make the call. Gretzky scored seconds later, and the Kings went on to win the series.
