Thousands of cycling enthusiasts from all over the world take part in a day-long cyclothon. Organized by India's Cycling Federation, its purpose is to test run the real event due in October. Two well known Bollywood actors added some glam. The Chief of the Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee feels it was a great success. [Suresh Kalmadi, Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee]: "The test event that has happened here is a good run for the Commonwealth Games and the Cycling Federation has done a good job with it." But for the President of the Cycling Federation, the event is a great opportunity to iron out some drawbacks. [Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, President, India's Cycling Federation]: "This is our first time. A Cyclothon never took place in Delhi before. So, there has been some drawbacks, which will be looked into. A test event is meant for the purpose that all loopholes will be dealt with." The New Delhi Commonwealth Games will run from the 2nd to the 14th of October. 10000 athletes from 71 teams representing 54 Commonwealth member states will be attending the games.
