Envisioned as a luxury flagship for 2025, the car is a plug-in hybrid fuel-cell electric vehicle which has a 10 kWh lithium-sulphur battery, a hydrogen fuel tank and four electric motors with a peak output of 313 PS (230 kW / 308 hp). This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 220 km/h (137 mph). Additionally, the F 125! can travel 50 km (31 miles) on electricity alone, before the fuel-cell activates to extend the range up to 1000 km (621 miles).

  2. ᚖ Veritas RSIII Hybrid 0-100 km/h in 3.1 sec ᚖ -
✮✮ⒷⒺⓈⓉⓃⒺⓉⓌⓄⓇⓀ①✮✮ 2011 The Veritas RSIII isn't exactly the most practical car in the world, but a new report is indicating the company is developing a plug-in hybrid variant. According to Translogic, the eco-friendly roadster will feature a 143 PS (105 kW / 141 hp) electric motor and a BMW-sourced 5.0-liter V10 engine that develops 507 PS (373 kW / 500 hp) and 520 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque. This will give the car a combined output of 650 PS (478 kW / 641 hp) which will enable the 2821 pound (1280 kg) RSIII to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 205 km/h (127 mph). More importantly, car's lithium-ion battery will allow the plug-in hybrid to travel up to 50 km (31 miles) on electricity alone. Furthermore, since the electric motor powers the front wheels, the RSIII has a de facto all-wheel drive system which should ensure safe and predictable handling. No word on when the hybrid will be launched, but a coupe is slated for this summer and an EV variant is planned for 2013.

  3. Audi A1 e-tron footage -
Audi is making it quite a news day for itself. This time the premium brand is releasing this promotional video for the Audi A1 e-tron - a nearly all-electric variant of its compact hatch. The A1 e-tron comes with an electric motor producing 75 kW (102 PS) of power (45 kW / 61 PS continuous) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque (150 Nm / 111 lb-ft continuous) juiced by a 12 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The range on the A1 e-tron solely in electric mode is 50 km (31 miles). A range-extending engine helps improve that number to 250 km (155 miles). That range-extender is a 15 kW single-piston rotary engine used to charge the batteries as the car is running. The emissions and fuel-economy numbers look good but they're not zero given the range-extender. Consumption on the European cycle is 1.9 liters/100 km and CO2 emissions are very low 45 g/km. Top speed is 130 km/h and the 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 10.2 seconds. The video shows the A1 e-tron quietly cruising around town. No details on production or launch dates have been released. www.worldcarfans.com

5. BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Technology -
www.eurocarnews.com - BMW Group - Offering a full-hybrid concept, the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept car is powered by a three-cylinder turbodiesel and two electric motors. Overall system output is 262 kW hp, maximum torque 800 Newton-meters/590 lb-ft. All-wheel drive featuring an electric motor on both the front and rear axle. Anticipated performance: Acceleration from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, top speed 250 km/h (155 mph) (electronically limited) , fuel consumption in the EU test cycle 3.76 liters/100 km (equal to 75.1 mph imp), CO2 emissions 99 grams/kilometer. As a plug-in hybrid, BMW Vision EfficientDynamics is able to cover the entire fuel consumption drive cycle under electric power alone. Taking the sources of energy used for generating the electric power consumed into account (EU electricity mix), this reduces the CO2 emission rating to just 50 grams per kilometer. Electric power is generated without the slightest increase in fuel consumption through a particularly efficient concept of Brake Energy Regeneration. Energy is stored in 98 lithium polymer cells. The car is able to cover a distance of approximately 50 km/31 miles in the electric mode alone.

With over 150 kilometers (93 miles) of paved bicycle paths and numerous mountain bike trails, Niagara is probably the most popular bicycling destination in Canada. Best time for bicycling is Spring (everythings in-bloom) and Autumn (leaves are changing colours). Summer can get a little too hot and is always humid. 10. Big Commute in Winter; bicycle & train combination in the Netherlands -
Longer distance commuting by bicycle is perceived impossible by many. Not so for the Dutch. A combination of public transport and a bicycle is easy and very common in the Netherlands. There is also a Summer version: www.youtube.com That there are more bicycles than people in the Netherlands is in part due to commuters who have bicycles in more than one city: the city they live in and the city they work in. The distance between the two cities is bridged by public transport, mostly train. The distance covered in this video ('s-Hertogenbosch to Utrecht) is about 50 kilometers (31 miles) one way. It takes less than an hour and that is about twice as fast than it would take by car for this particular route. The video shows how it is done on a winters day. Morning rush hour takes place in the dark during the winter months in the Netherlands.
